Back to the Comics Lounge - North Melbourne this evening.
U&N make it to the small screen Down Under on the channel with the highest number and the smallest audience. The night of staggeringly awful standup acts was filmed for community access TV in the lead up to the Comedy Fest.

A great opportunity to try out new material in English in front of a live (but not necessarily awake) audience. But at least they were smartly dressed - at least some of them!

These try outs are part of the process of translating and developing the English language show - making the word play work in a foreign language - catching the humour, not just the words. Not an easy process. Have you heard the one about the shark and the owl - something here is getting lost in translation...
